i tried the compacting but the folder where the vmware player pulls the the Virtual OS still stays at 41.5 GB. My original backup of yesterday says 16 GB. I'm at a loss as to how the virtual disk goes from 15.3 to 41.5. Is there a way where i can restore the disk to it's original size. I have a backup of the 15.3 gb virtual disk. After i image a workstation i always have to delete the VM and then copy my 15.3 back into the folder.
